Tinted Health Virtual Health Membership – FAQ

Welcome! Here’s everything you need to know about your membership.

Tinted Health is a virtual healthcare membership that gives you access to preventive care, minor urgent care, lab coordination, prescription management, and mental health support—all online.
Important: This is not health insurance. It does not cover hospitalizations or emergency care, and it does not meet certain state or federal insurance requirements. We are a supplemental plan that provides coverage for certain basic preventive services under a fully licensed medical provider within your state.
Your membership includes:
  • Virtual Urgent Care and Preventive Health Visits – For minor illnesses, infections, or minor injuries. This includes wellness check-ins, screening guidance, and health advice (4 sessions per year).
  • Blood Work & Lab Coordination – We help you order labs and review results with a provider.
  • Prescription Management – Refills and ongoing care for chronic medications through our platform. ** Please note that we will not prescribe narcotics or controlled substances on our platform. You will need to seek another care provider to assess and manage those needs.
  • Mental Health Support – Tele-therapy sessions (3 sessions per year).
  • Hospitalizations, surgeries, or emergency care
  • Care and cost received or incurred outside the Tinted Health platform.
  • Prescription costs. We are able to provide certain discounts through platforms such as GoodRX, but you will be responsible to cover the cost of medications.
  • Monthly Fee: You may apply for financing through one of our financing partners to pay monthly. The fee will vary per month depending on the payment tier selected. The fee can range can start from $34 per month.
  • Billing: Automatically processed at check out for full annual subscription amount or monthly via financing partner. You may process payments using your chosen method.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel anytime with 15 days’ notice before the usage of your plan. Once your plan has been started and a service has been redeemed you will no longer be able to cancel your subscription until the following year upon renewal.
  • Refunds: Fees are non-refundable for unused services or used services. Please note the 15 day cancellation policy that applies to the entirety of the plan. We have a use it or lose it policy. This is due to our commitment and care coordination efforts for your healthcare. We want you seeing a provider regularly to ensure you remain healthy throughout the year.
  • Membership, not insurance: You pay a subscription to access certain limited services through our platform, not a policy to cover medical costs or emergent care. Your payment covers all included services, nothing more and nothing less. Think of us as a core basic offering that keeps primary care costs low. You end up saving up to 40% by having our subscription plan in your pocket than going into a provider’s office. We help to keep your deductibles low and out of pocket spend to a minimum, making it easy for everyone to get care.
  • No coverage for hospital or emergency care: Insurance protects against large medical bills; our membership helps you stay healthy and manage minor issues virtually.
  • No state/federal mandate exemption: Because this is not insurance, it does not satisfy minimum coverage requirements. Please check with your state, but it is better to have some form of coverage with us than no coverage at all or limited coverage for your core primary care needs.
Anyone can join, as long as you are over 18 (or have a guardian sign up). Membership is available in states where our providers are licensed. Currently we operate in PA.
  • Once membership sign up is complete, and you have been granted access.
  • Log in to your member portal on the site or patient app.
  • Choose the type of visit: urgent care, preventive check-in, or mental health.
  • Pick a time that works for you and connect with a provider online.
  • Keep your personal and health information accurate.
  • Attend scheduled visits or cancel in advance.
  • Use services responsibly and according to our policies.
  • Yes! Your health information is protected under HIPAA. Only authorized providers within our platform can access your records.
  • Contact our support team via email or your portal.
  • You may cancel anytime with 15 days’ notice before the usage of your plan. Once your plan has been started and a service has been redeemed you will no longer be able to cancel your subscription until the following year upon renewal.
  • You’ll continue to have access until the end of the billing period. Our subscriptions are annual even if you are paying monthly.

For hospitalizations, surgeries, emergency care, or services outside the membership, you are responsible for seeking care and covering any associated costs. You may want separate insurance for these needs.

Tinted Health is here to make preventive healthcare accessible, affordable, and convenient. It helps you stay healthy and manages minor health issues, all virtually—but it is not a replacement for insurance.
